Our experiences lead us to lose belief in our ability so we need to understand those experiences and validate the consequences of them.

To understand who we are we need to link that understanding to the experiences that formed how we see ourselves.

It is only with an informed understanding of our neurodivergence that we can reclaim our belief in our ability.

How I use the model

This is an emergent practice and the framework is base on my own experience, my years of work in the field and a sound theoretical underpinning of that understanding. Central to my practice is a collaborative guided metacognitive psychosocial unpacking of being neurodivergent. Based on this theoretical underpinning and my practice I have developed the VLR ®  Model as a framework to explore the Biopsychosocial intersections of Nuerodivergence. This framework gives us an anchor to explore the complexities of your intersections and your neurodivergence.

The core of my practice is to shift the internalised label of dysfunction by supporting you to understand and reframe your experience. You can flourish by understanding yourself through the lens of your neurodivergence and how that has impacted the way you see yourself and the way the world sees you.

Being neurodivergent adult in a neurotypical world is hard and being misunderstood can do a lot of damage, but we don’t have to live that damage. My emergent practice comes out of a profound understanding of how this lived experience can impact how we live, love and flourish.

We are all experts of our own experience but without an understanding of our neurodivergence our perfectly reasonable response to a world that doesn’t support us is often labelled as dysfunction.
